I've got a fairly big MapBasic project that depends on MS Access for a lot
of its data sources and forms, and the VBA side of things is written in
an Access 2000 database. However, today I tried installing it on a machine
that's running Office 2003. Suddenly things that worked fine now just
seemed to hang. Even when I tried opening some forms in Design mode in
Access 2003 interactively, they would hang forever. Then I tried converting
the database with the forms and modules to Access 2003, and that solved the
problem.

What I'm wondering is has anyone else ever had problems like this, and is
this normal? Is there a VBA method to sense what version the application is
running in and automatically perform the conversion?

TIA,

- Bill Thoen
