Hello Mats,
Have you looked at our Geographic Transformer applications?  We have two versions that might be of interest to you, both apps offer an evaluation.  The full Transformer standalone application georeferences/reprojects/mosaics/tiles images to pretty much whatever projection you need, if there's a coordinate system not in our database, new definitions are easily added.  Transformer supports MrSID, ECW, Jpeg2000, GeoTiff/Tiff, Jpeg, and other formats.  Evaluation download:

We also offer a lighter weight Geographic Transformer Extension for MapInfo Pro that allows you to quickly reproject images to a new output image within MapInfo itself.  Evaluation download:

If I may be of any assistance, feel free to contact me.

Subject: [MI-L] Slightly OT - image rectification

Hi List!

I have a question which is slightly off topic, but may be of some general interest nevertheless.
What is the best way to recalculate raster images to another system, so that they can be used in applications that rely on one insertion point only, like world files or geotiffs do?
I need to be able to use local swedish coordinate systems (treated as non earth systems) as well as regional or national swedish systems which are earth systems. MapInfo has a very good coverage of Swedish systems.
I have looked at some applications but they fail to support non earth systems, or swedish systems.
I have no need for the Guam, Easter Island or Oman systems.
Hälsning / Best regards Mats.E
