I know that there isa system keeping track of gazetted places for the whole world.
I am looking for such information for Angola. Angola data may not have been updated due to the long internal conflict raging the country until 2002. I do not know nowadays how such information is generated. I can imagine that satellite sensing/photos could be used but such information would have to be validated and linked to the name of the village, town, city. Can someone point me in the direction of such information?
