use the format$() function

example

format(12333.23,"$,#.##")  =  $12,333.23

Subject: [MI-L] Simple Labeling Question

Simple label question:

I have a column (float) that contains numbers and I need to add the dollar sign when I label the point.  If I label using the _expression_:

“$” + fieldname

I get the number preceded by the dollar sign, but I loose the comma in the number (if I just label with the field contents, I get the number with commas).  Is this a conflict with the field type, or am I just doing it wrong?

Thanks,

Arlene Baker
