Hi list,

I am trying to work out the lines of sight from a given point. Basically I have view point situated on a street network and I am trying to work out the amount of shop frontage can be seen from a given point. I can do this in an approximate way by drawing straight lines from my view point and lining them up with the corners of obstructing buildings – then I can roughly see how much shop frontage I can see (in between the obstructing ones).

While this method has given me an approximate indication I was wondering if anyone had come across a more methodological way of achieving this.

Regards,

Kevin
