Title: GoogleView.mbx and GoogleEarth v4 beta problem

Greetings list,

Just a heads up for a potential problem when using my GoogleView.mbx utility (http://www.directionsmag.com/files/index.php/view/681) with the new GoogleEarth v4 beta

Those of you using GoogleView, and have downloaded and installed the new GoogleEarth v4 beta may notice the following error message appear

"Could not open file xxxxxx\GoogleView.kml for reading" (where xxxxxx is the part of the directory path after the last space, in which GoogleView is installed)

There appears to be a bug in the new v4 beta of GoogleEarth that doesn't like spaces in the directory path when passing a kml file to it

The solution is to rename the GoogleView.mbx installation directory, removing any spaces in the directory path
(this is probably not a good idea if your directory path contains "Program Files")

Alternatively, reinstall GoogleView or move the GoogleView directory to a path that contains no spaces.

Note: Unless you are reinstalling from scratch, you will need to delete the GoogleView.ini file from the directory, as it will now contain an invalid path. Don't worry, a new ini file will be created when you run GoogleView from the new directory.

At this stage I have not attempted to try an fix this proplem with a new update of GoogleView.mbx, As hopefully this problem will go away in the final release.

(After all it is a beta version)

Regards

Peter Doyle
