once I have a workspace or layout saved, how can I turn this into a PDF or pdf type of file so I can email it to a coworker? I package it all but have to send all the files which are to big to send in our company email
You need to set up a PDF printer driver software. Then you select the PDF writer as the "printer" and print your map in the normal way.
The most popular comercial software that does this is from Adobe, but there are several free ones out there that work very well too. I've tried PDF Creator (http://sourceforge.net/projects/pdfcreator/) with MapInfo and it works just fine.
BTW, the reason your e-mail is getting tagged with the [Spam] flag is because of the AOL advertisment you've got tacked on to the end. This will cause some people's mail servers to throw out your message unread. If you're concerned about mail not being delivered, you might want to try sending mail in plain text (not HTML) or get another e-mail sevice provider.
