Hi mike,
I got MI 8.0 and VM 3.0

The other month I made a grid from point file.
I took a few thousand of the text files (x,y,z) and piped them all in one big file using DOS.
The result: a file containning 19 million points. About 5Gb in size.
>From this I read the points using VM and did some data aggregation.
Then I created my grid.

It Worked great.. it was slow and a bit laggy but if you let it run it should work.(it took around 24 hours)

Hi List

Does anyone know what the limits are for the size of files (specifically interested in asc grid files being converted to tabs) for mapinfo and vertical mapper (either in terms of number of points or file sizes)?
