I have upgraded a couple of Oracle database from Oracle 9i to Oracle 10gR2. The oracle client on the pcs was Oracle 9i.
it opened the tables directly, but when opening any views within the database through mapinfo, it just used to hang in mapinfo, no error messages or anything. Therefore i upgraded the client to 10gR2. Now i cannot access the tables or views, or even log in. It does give an error realating to ORA-12705, relating to NLS parameters. I have checked these and they are set correctly as far as i know in the oracle_home. also the only information available is related to Oracle 7.0. It has been suggested that i reinstall the DBMS option in the MapInfo Proffesional Install CD. Has anyone had this problem, and if so how have they fixed it.
