MapBook works by letting you design a layout template as a workspace, and you can put replaceable text variables on the layout and even more complex features like a scalebar by simply drawing a rectangle. It's actually designed to produce a series of maps from a grid table or a table of view areas, but some users tell me it's handy for laying out individual maps too. It cost $295, but there's a free, fully-functional demo at http://www.gisnet.com/catalog/software/tools/index.php?id=14. - Bill Thoen _______________________________________________ MapInfo-L mailing list [email protected] http://www.directionsmag.com/mailman/listinfo/mapinfo-l
