Hello Mike, In the Geographic
Tracker, under Options>Set Preferences,
there is an "Update Interval" setting.
If you currently have that set higher than one
second, you can decrease the interval between
updates, and that will effectively speed
up the playback. If it is currently
set to one second, that is the fastest it
can play back and the only way to get
the location to move faster would be to actually
remove records from the .gps log file.
This would thin your data, but if it is solely
for demo purposes, might be tolerable.
The way to accomplish this, would be to open
the .gps log in a text editor, and remove
lines that appearing like this (the numeric
values will be different for you of course):

Subject: [MI-L] Simulated
Geographic tracker data
My boss wants me to do a demonstration
of what we are doing with MapInfo & a
GPS in the field. I was thinking that
showing simulated GPS data in a familiar
area would be somewhat interesting. After
recording some data, I find that it's slow
& gets boring quickly. Has anyone
tried (or is it possible) to modify a file
to move things along faster in a DEMO?
