Peter,

In addition to David Hilpipre’s message, I have found that the following certainly helps when I am printing transparent rasters (MI 7.0 a HP 650C plotter):

  1. Go to File>Print and select the plotter
  2. In the bottom right hand side of dialogue box you will see an “Advanced” button.
  3. Click the “Advanced” button to access a dialogue box named “Advanced Printing Options”
  4. Use the following options:
    1. Select “Print using Enhanced Metafile (EMF)”
    2. De-select “Internal Handling for Transparent Vector Fills and Symbols”

This has solved any problems with rasters I have encountered in the past.  If this does not work, try selecting the “Use ROP method to Display transparent rasters” with the selections above.

Good Luck,

Ian
