Dear fellow mappers: I need some help. Yesterday I received some DOQ geotiff quarter quad files from the USGS via FTP site (no time to wait for the CD). Generally I can use the DOQ.mbx program to see these images geo-referenced and create a table. This time I get the error message from the DOQ program that it can't find the file (filename).tih. I don't recall needing a .tih file for this. I have a tif and a header file. Anyway I changed one of the .hdr files to a .tih files just to see if that would work. Nope-then the error message said it couldn't convert the data. I went ahead and made a CD with the geotiffs on it, just in case the DOQ program will only work with a CD. Still didn't work. But will it only work with a USGS CD? I tried geo-reg.mbx -just for kicks, and as expected it says no valid registration info. I have several I need to put together-so I really can't just bring them in unregistered, as they will be right on top of each other. I might just be missing something here, but I really need some help.
