As a
general rule for labelling.
View
your layout at the scale it is to be printed at, say 100 000. ie. View Actual
Size.
Go to the mapper and use Named Views from the Tool Manager to
save off your mapper position.
In the
mapper use Change View to set the mapper to the same scale as the map to be
printed (100 000)
Place
your labels where you would like to see them, panning around your
map.
When all labels have been set, used Named Views to return to
the original map position.
Your layout ( still at Actual Size) should now be the same as
what will print.
I have very few problems with this method.
