I know many of you were in favor of setting up a spam-blocker on MapInfo-L, but it was locking out all the people behind gateways, so I've taken it off for the time being. It only stopped 1 real junk mail message but it knocked off about 15 legitimate posts. So if you use a gateway account to get your MapInfo-L mail, you can now post to the list again. And I'd like to talk to anyone who manages these sorts of services for the larger organizations connected here to see if there's some way we can keep everyone happy. It's not terrible yet, but I'm afraid there will be a slow, but steady, increase in spam on mailing lists. There are ways to block spam on your personal email accounts, and maybe that's what we will have to learn to do.
