I'd appreciate some insight into this problem: For two years, we successfully sent Mapinfo layouts in eps format from my PC to the newspaper art department MACs. No problem. Suddenly, for no apparent reason, the MACs can no longer save MI layout files. If the artist tries to save an open file, the MAC will start to eat the hard drive, destroying files left and right. The only change? An upgrade to Adobe Illustrator 8 on the MACs. But now, even Adobe 6 can't handle the map files. Computer guy blames MI. I say it's obviously an Adobe problem. In the meantime, we're out of the mapping business here.
