MI distance

Dear users

Is there a direct way to select obj that are at distance of #km of the previously selected objs without to calculate buffer distance before hand? Let�s say I have two tables one with points and another with polygons. I would like to select polygons that are at distance of #km from the point(s). I could do easily using other GIS software but I would like to sticky wit MI.

By the way, for those interested in knowing about the Universal translator and Vertical Mapper, I still have the same problem even after I updated to V2.2. The UT is still going to the back of MI application.
