Hi all,
I'm making an application with MapBasic to automate some activities in
MapInfo. Part of the application is generating a report (using Crystal
Reports, which is shipping with MapInfo 5.0) based on the data in
MapInfo. What I do is exporting a datafile from within my application in
dBase format, make a copy of a template report and open this copy with
the 'open report' MapBasic command (added in MapBasic version 5.0). When
I open the report, CR automatically starts up with the specified file. I
have to refresh my report (using F5) in order to view the current data
(which are stored in the dBase-file).
What we would like is that the end-user only gets a viewer of the
report, which is automatically updated (so the user doesn't have to
stroke the F5 key), without all the buttons and menu-options. These are
very confusing for the enduser who is only interested in the content of
the report.
Do anyone have a suggestion?
