Is there anyone out there that can tell me if there is a way in MapInfo to
move points in one layer, a specified distance away (the distance will be a
separate field) from and perpendicular to a polyline in another layer? I
need to do this with a group of points at one time also. Maybe there is a
mbx routine for it somewhere out there. I will be using GPS to collect the
center line of roads and also collect points for structures. I need to be
able to move the structures that I don't offset for one side of the road,
the distance that I will input into another field for the other side of the
road; each point will have a different distance measurement. Any help with
this will be greatly appreciated.
