Dear fellow Mappers, I wonder if you can help me, I'm having problems with our HP DeskJet 1120C. I'm using the drivers to prepare a plot file in MapInfo, ie plotting to a file. Then I'm sending the plot file to the port where the printer's connected to, in the (vain) hope that the printer will produce the out put. The curious thing is that if the plot file is very small, less than .2MB it works, anything above and the printer dies on me. Do you think it's a memory problem, specs say that printer has a 4MB buffer, or is it some kind of printer spooling business where the printer is choking with the whole file sent in one burst when I give it the DOS command to copy file to LPT1. There is no way that I can see that I can specify the plot file to be processed in the computer rather than in the plotter, is there any other way of passing the plot file to the printer rather than DOS. We have done this with our HP 650C plotter with no problems what so ever. Thanks in advance for any help.
