They call those LSDs, not quarter sections. You get 16 to a
square mile. Contact the Alberta Bureau of Surveying and Mapping,

is dated 1987). I used to have an Alberta data set (called the
A.T.S., or Alberta Township System), but I think most of it was
calculated rather than actually surveyed. (That will probably set
the hackles up on any surveyors here who consider "GIS" to mean
"Get It Surveyed".)
