Hi Andrew.
You can place a North arrow in the Map Window (on an editable layer) OR the
Map Layout by
using the symbol tool (the one that looks like a push pin). Once placed,
you can double click
on the symbol (or ALT + F8 on the keyboard) and select Arrows from your
choices. There are
several North arrows to choose from. Good luck!
