i have two machines, one with win95 and one with win98 each trying to
access mapinfo tables shared off of our server. Neither machine is
editing tables, simply doing map composition. Both machines have
problems with accessing files. The win95 machine manages to recover and
hold onto the table with a retry, but the win98 machine loses the tables
and it becomes invisible in the map even though it is available in the
layer control. This NEVER happened when both machines were win95. Has
anyone else noticed this? is there a mapinfo/Win98 patch?
