I would just like to thank everyone for the input. Being on this
list sure helps out alot. Many of the problems that I have ran into would be
very difficult to solve if it was not for the help of people on the list.
A question:
I do alot of repetive cartographic work in my job in which I would like to
minimize exspecially when creating thematic maps.
ie lets say I have 3 tables
a = line
b = point
c = boundary
previously I would
create individual thematic map on a type
adjust legends and styles
and save theme
create individual thematic map on b type
adjust legends and styles
and save theme
create individual thematic map on c type
adjust legends and styles
and save theme
Doing this everytime for every map becomes repetitive
because the tables that I am working with have the same field structure and
data values, I am able to save the workspace as if it were a theme and
then open this to automatically create the themes and associated tables on
the various objects
Basically I would like to open a workspace which opens specified tables in
a specific order
then open a workspace which will create themes and legends for these
tables(because the order of the tables, fields and data of the table are
the same opening these workspaces should automatically create the legend and
associated map object's colors,styles,thickness)
I am just beginning in mapinfo some of your pointers would be appreciated
again
