i am sandeep badwal and has been a gis student for past four years and
is well conversent with many of the gis softwares..this request is for all
who visits,asks or answers their queries in the technotes.As a part of my
project i am trying to
create a gis user's database for which i require some amount of help from
all of you i.e i require information in the following format from all of
you please.
name
country
place of work or learning i.e (company,college etc)
qualification
latitude location (as accurate as possible)
longitude location (as accurate as possible)
and also i want all of u to rate yourself out of 10 about your proficiency
in the following gis softwares.
software rating out of ten(e.g)
mapinfo 5
mapbasic 8
arcinfo(all modules) 7
arcview 5
avenue 0
er mapper 8
erdas imagine 0
autocad map 5
and any other software which u might be using
u can add sofwares of ur choice.enter 0 if u r unaware of software.
AS SOMETIMES ,SOME QUESTIONS ARE NOT ANSWERED TO THE SATISFACTION OF
THE PERSON DUE TO VARIOUS REASONS LIKE QUESTION NOT REACHING THE RIGHT
PERSON, LANGUAGE PROBLEM etc i plans to maintain a gis linked database
(future plan is to extend it onto web to make it easily available to
all without any cost)from where by a mere email one can know who is the
right person to contact and quickly solve ones problem.
though this is just a small effort on my part , i hope with all
your contribution it will be successful.any help or
valuable suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

the softwares which i am planning to use right now are
for gis part - mapinfo, mapbasic
intergrated mapping - visual basic 6
database - oracle using vb6
web part - still undecided
