hi Colin,

I also often forget the syntax and find the easiest way to get it is to:
1) open the mapbasic window in mapinfo,
2) point to a map window (that has data in the projection I'm interested in)
3) change the map window projection using the menu Map/Options item to
something different
4) change the map window projection back to what it was
5) copy the code form the mapbasic window into my mapbasic code

I have also set up a couple of text files on my computer with this
information in it which I just open and copy/paste from. Would be a pain if
I had to work with lots of projections but luckly I only need to deal with 3
or 4

Hope this helps

Cheers

Martin
