List recipient, Currently, I�m a fourth year Environmental Science student at Nipissing University, North Bay, ON. For my final year I�m doing a Directed Study, this study will look at the environmental state of Whitby Harbour, ON, Canada. More specifically I will be completing a Phase I environmental site assessment (ESA). After the initial assessment is complete I will involve GIS in order to indicate environmentally sensitive areas by compiling overlays of past, present land uses. I would appreciate it very much if anybody could provide me with any links where I could find related literature. More specifically, I'm looking for previous applications of GIS and how the can be applied to ESA's to act as a Decision Support System. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
