Tetra Tech, Research and Development Division GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SYSTEMS ENGINEER / DEVELOPER: San Francisco Bay Area (Lafayette), CA USA Position Description: Position open for developing and applying information management systems for environmental applications, focusing on environmental hazardous waste sites and ecological characterization projects. This position requires an individual with excellent problem solving skills to meet client needs. Knowledge of a wide-variety of GIS and application development platforms is required. Experience implementing both MapInfo and ESRI solutions are all required. Experience with image integration, grids, geostatistics, 3-D visualization/animation, web-based GIS, and visual programming languages are preferred. A background in engineering or geology is preferred, with a minimum of 4 years of experience.
