Mike,
Thanks for the tips but it seems to me if MapInfo gives us the option
of using a transparent raster they should make sure it works. Seems
like this is a problem not only for me but in later version of MI too.
Another option is to use Blue Marbles Geographic Transformer and
clip and reproject the DRG into Lat/Long. This way your rasters are
straight "up & down" and no need to set white to transparent. While I
don't have the option of purchasing a $750 or so piece of software
others might. Come monday a rant to MapInfo will hopefully shed
some light on the situation.
