As Bill Thoen remarked "Have fun". And yes it can be frustrating as well.
I've dealt with one form of this problem. The form of the problem that I
dealt with was that the user would select a bunch of polylines and I was
supposed to assemble them into a region. I learned a lot about a very small
part of MapInfo/MapBasic doing this. The code is a bit much to include
here, but if you are interested I will send you a copy.
