Okay, I went back and added an example of how an animated GIF can be used 
to show thematic info. It is a dot density map showing change in insured 
values in a 50 mile area over seven years. It's quite easy. For those 99 of 
you that have already looked at the page, you might want to look again.

BTW, did you know that the dots are not random, but ins some sort of seed? 
They are always in the same place and built in the same order. That's why 
you can use this type thematic to show changes over time like this, and not 
have dots jumping around all over the place. A bit of MI trivia for you.
