Dear all, Can somebody please help. I have a simple Excel spreadsheet, and would like to make use of it from within MapInfo v5.0 via ODBC. So far I have created a "User DSN" which references my Excel file. I have then been able to open an ODBC table using this ODBC data source. The table has opened successfully, the correct columns have been selected from the spreadsheet, and are visible in the browser window, however my problem now lies in making the table mappable. I first tried making my data mappable via the menu option "Make ODBC Table Mappable" but that told me that I didn't have a map catalogue. Following the user guide I should have been able to create one automatically using the application; MIODBCAT.MBX, but that failed insisting that I make the catalogue manually. What I would like to know is how do I create this catalogue for my Excel spreadsheet as the instructions provided don't seem to be appropriate for a spreadsheet. If I am wrong in using a spreadsheet as a data source I can quite easily import this into Access and use that. Any help would be very much appreciated as I am new to ODBC.
