Can anyone assist with the following MapInfo problem (occurs in both Ver 4.5 and 5.0) ? I regularly use the Auto Label function in Layer Control to automatically label point objects with a particular value/attribute. I generally use the anchor point that positions labels directly to the right of the point symbol with a Label Offset value of 5 point. At this stage everything is fine in both the map and layout windows and the Workspace is saved. However for certain plans, when I re-open the Workspace, most of the labels appear to have moved slightly and randomly by anywhere up to 5mm (always to the left). This causes overprinting with the symbol and or other nearby labels. The only way to return the labels back to their original intended location is to change the Offset value to another value eg. 6 point, let the map and layout window redraw, and then change the Offset value back to 5 point. This problem occurs with approximately 25% of plans and perhaps occurs more often when there are many labels in the map. Does anyone know of a fix or easier workaround for this small but annoying problem ? PS: converting the labels to text objects is not a suitable option. Do others experience this problem?
