Hi:
I hope that this will help people who have been having digitizer problems.
I have been using an Altek AC32 Digitizing tablet with Windows NT 4.0, MapInfo 5.1 and have had no problems to date.
The driver that I use is Virtual Tablet 4.13. I find this to be an exceptionally good driver, which allows you to switch digitizing tablets with the click of a mouse button. I travel with a laptop and have never had any trouble connecting to the various tablets I have encountered (numonics, summagraphics, CalComp).
Virtual Tablet also allows you to set many options to your specific digitizing preferences.
This is not an advertisement for Virtual Tablet, but I have had many years of headache free digitizing. As well it is a relatively cheap (<$100.00 US) software package with excellent support.
If you are interested in more information on this software you can contact Alfred Schumer at Digitizer Technology. E-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED].
