You always need to check for the type of the return. That will tell
you what information you can expect to find in the response. Not all
geocoding results give you the same level of answer.
For example:
41 river terrace gives a "Street Centroid - S4" precision and georesult.
You can find some information on the result codes on page 48 of the
MapMarker Manual. An S4 is a match to a segment that has no address
information such as address range, city or ZIP associated with it.
Therefore, MapMarker doesn't give that information back to you. The
problem is that the TIGER data on which MapMarker 4.3 is based does not
have this information. The MapMarker 4.3Plus gives better answers.
This is because it is based on data which is enhanced and corrected by
GDT. I also get this problem in MM4.3+ for Killearn Rd, Falls Creek Pl,
The other problems are all TIGER problems. Most of them I don't get in
MapMarker 4.4Plus. For the Massachussetts Ave address, I get an address
in Boston. The others I get street level hits.

We are having problems with quite a few addresses using MapMarker v4.0 to
4.3. When we use the ocx control to gecode an address such as:
41 river terrace
new york
ny 10282
With no requirement to match the street address this returns the following
info:
street: RIVER TER
city:
state:
Zip:
Longitude: -74.015065
Latitude: 40.718025
The first problem is why are the city, state and zip fields being returned
as blank. THe second problem is that the locations being returned don't
seem to be correct.
Other addresses that generate similar problems are:
355 Marlborough St
Boston
MA
111 Killearn Road
millbrook
ny
3265 FALLS CREEK PL
Healdsburg
CA
210 Moraga Way
orinda
ca
94563
Another problematic address with different symptoms is this:
1 massachussetts avenue
boston
ma
MapMarker returns with an address in Arlington instead of Boston.
Apparently, though if you put 1 State Highway 2 instead for the street then
we get the correct answer.
Can you please let us know what the problems are here with these addresses?
