This morning I posted a shareware cogo program to Bill Thoen's MapInfo-L FTP site. The program will display "Cartesian" distances between points (as opposed to great circle distances) if your are working in a Cartesian coordinate system. It does not work in longitude / latitude systems. If you use it to query distances and directions you should get the same bearings and distances that you get from programs like AutoCAD or ArcView.
