Hi, Does anyone have experience with character set conversions in MapInfo? I am having trouble in getting the German characters (like �,�,� etc) visible. During import of the source data (via ArcLink) I did not specify any character set. As I understand the MI will use the CharSet from Mapinfow.WOR, which is WindowLatin1 in my case. The converted files did not contain the correct special characters. Subsequently I tried export and import of the files using different character sets, however without effect. I seem that the character sets conversions do not have any effect anymore. Furthermore, is there a way in MapBasic to retrieve the character set used for a certain table (some TableInfo clause type of thing) ? I hope some of you help me out of this situation.
