you can check whether or not the file if readonly from tableinfo(table_name,
TAB_INFO_READONLY)
if true then
create a file (say ChAttrib.bat) with extension ".bat" on which write
attrib -H tablename.*
close file
run program "chatrib.bat"
end if
hope works..
