Hello,
I built a tool just for this. It needs to be a bit revisited since it was
for my own use, and devlopped in French ... It's pretty easy if you've got
MB, but it won't be a thematic layer, it'll colour your map permanently
...Of course, you can run it on a copy.
I don't think that the new MI version alows more than 16 colors on thematic
(have'nt upgraded yet).
There are two alternatives : specify a LUT in an externable file (a value =
a color) (more flexible but the table definition is a pain) or define a
function that'll compute a color from your data (easy, but you'll have to
deal with a color space and color equations ...).
Anyway, just be aware that it might be difficult to define 240 easyly
discernable colors ...
I'm in a bit of a rush right now, but I should be able to post a LUT based
tool in a month or so on the list ... (hopefully)
Eric.

Objet: colouring more 230 values in MI
Hi Everyone,
Is there any way to create a thematic map with greater than 230 values to
shade?? A map I need to shade has 242 separate values and I cant see anyway
to shade it with simplification.
Thanks
