In just a few weeks, the newest version of our flagship product, GeoMedia
2.1 will be released. In this version we are extending our reach to
corporations who need to manage increasingly larger spatial databases for
applications in marketing, real estate asset management, and site selection.
We are focussed on bringing solutions to corporations who have outgrown
their desktop mapping systems and are now looking to distribute information
throughout their organization, with either an intranet system or to
proliferate a more advanced desktop GIS.
GeoMedia 2.1 has additional spatial analysis tools, capabilities to read a
variety of data formats such as ArcView Shapefile, MapInfo, Microsoft
Access, and more, plus the most advanced address matching engine available
from Geographics Data Technology (GDT).
We are finding that as corporations make larger investments in spatial data
that database management becomes an increasing concern. That is why we have
teamed with Oracle Corporation in establishing a tight integration of
GeoMedia with Oracle8 and the Spatial Cartridge.
