All these same old, same old concerns prove that the folks developing the
product don't, in general, USE the product to get real work done.
If they did, problems like this would've been rectified YEARS ago.
When I spoke at the MapWorld Conference the first time, the subtitle of my
talk was "A MapInfo Fanatic's Perspective."
For the past two years, every *single* time I've used MapInfo I've been
annoyed by it. I use it because I'm proficient, because convincing my boss
to buy a different product is probably impossible, and because all my data
is in MapInfo format.
I've been complaining about the same problems for so many years, that I
refuse to put any specific concerns in this email. I'd just be repeating
myself.
See old emails. See words like "Wish" and "Annoyance" or "Annoyances."
This product has a lot of great capabilities. Just wish it would
iron out all the major annoyances once and for all.
