Apologies in advance if you have received
similar notices.
We have started a listserve for GIS & public
health. We have a few hundred
members, many out of state, as far away as New Zealand and Zimbabwe,
Vietnam, India. It's run out of the Northwest Center for Public Health
Practice and the Washington State Department of Health
Directions and details at
http://healthlinks.washington.edu/nwcphp/waphgis.html to sign up
or do as follows (same info that is on the web site):
Subscribing to the WA Public Health & GIS listserve:
"All you need to subscribe to the list is an email account. To subscribe to
the list, send a message to
[EMAIL PROTECTED] with the request "subscribe waphgis" followed by
your name in the body of the
message, like so:
subscribe waphgis Jane Doe
You will receive a message shortly after that asking you to confirm your
subscription request. Respond to that
message, and you will then receive a message confirming your subscription,
along with a welcome message
telling you about the list. "
Please forward this to anyone who might be interested in joining. It has
lots of non-WA members which gives us a wide base of information and
discussion. Discussion will center around anything that has to do with GIS &
health, technical, general, whatever.
