 Oracle To Integrate MapInfo Pdts Onto Internet Database>ORCL

 REDWOOD SHORES, Calif. (Dow Jones)--Oracle Corp. (ORCL) expects to integrate
MapInfo  Corp.'s (MAPS) Internet-based spatial and mapping products onto its
Oracle8i Internet database.

 Financial details weren't disclosed.

 In a press release Wednesday, Oracle said it expects the complete set of
MapInfo products  supporting Oracle's database and Internet platform to be
available in June.

 The company said that with this integration, the data could be used in data
warehouse, enterprise  resource planning and customer relationship management
applications.

 The company also said MapInfo will resell Oracle's database, while Oracle
will license MapInfo's  projection-management technology.

 MapInfo Corp., Troy, N.Y., provides Internet-based products and
applications.

 Oracle is a software supplier.
