In case anyone is having problems accessing MapInfo's various web pages (like me) or sending mail to people at MapInfo (like MapInfo-L), the reason is that MapInfo just switched ISPs on Friday. They are aware of the trouble, and new ISP's techs are presently enjoying a "technology transfer moment" with their system.
