We use Winframe for quite a few different things, and the technology
issues are pretty simple.
You might want to review your MapInfo license agreement first, though.
Be aware that the terms of that agreement tend to evolve a bit at each
new release. That means that what was legal at version 4.x might not
be legal at 5.x or 6.x....
The licensing issues are likely to be a lot more challenging than the
technology issues.
