Dear Sir/Madam,
I'm a newcomer to MapInfo Professional as well as MapBasic and encountered the following problem :
I have two separate map layers containing shapes (parcel boundaries) and texts (parcel numbers) respectively. If each text object (a parcel number) lies within a particular shape object (a parcel boundary), how can I turn the text object into the centroid of the shape? Or what is the most efficient programmatic approach to test if a text object lies within a shape?
