A few years ago I offered "Stripes" on the list. I answered some
requests, but lack of feedback seems to indicate that (at best) the
requesters probably had something else in mind.
You build stripe patterns (two alternating colours) in an option
table (angle, colours, MI fill pattern, width of each colour). Bring
up your polygon layer, select a stripe pattern and the polygons you
want filled with that pattern, and go.
The program is available in two versions - automatic and interactive
(one polygon at a time). They're old and rather primitive, but they
work. Also they're available free and with the source code
(MapBasic). You're free to make any modifications you like, and
perhaps one (or some) of the listers would like to polish it up a bit
for general use (sorry, I just don't have the time).
