Howdy listers, Before more helpful folks send me links, tips and other info, I think I may have been too vague in my initial posting... What I'm rooting for is source code (or COM objects) that will convert a shape or MIF file into a grided data type. In Arc/Info-ese, I'm looking for 'polygrid' as a callable routine - the only difference being I don't need (or even want) a ESRI GRID as output. The exact format of the grided output data is pretty open as long as it's not proprietary. Code to go the other direction would also be desireable.
