Subject: RE: MI Ikonos 1
This is the third failure of a commercial earth imaging (spy)
satellite in
the last three years. SPOT had one blow up on the launch pad.
Earth
Watch's went into a bad orbit and created an $83 million fireball
over
Antarctica and now Space Imaging's Ikonos 1.
Three completely different efforts all resulting in failure? Pretty
astounding.

Hi Listers,
I have been following the progress of Ikonos 1 up to
it's
fateful launch
last week.
Does anyone know any further information about what
may have
happened to
this digital imaging satellite?
