- ProViewer 5.0 is available now on our web site for FREE download
at http://www.mapinfo.com/software/proviewer
- ProViewer 5.0 opens and displays all tables and workspaces from
MapInfo Professional 5.0 and earlier (4.x, 3.x, etc.).
The rest of the story
- ProViewer 5.5, which will be able to open all tables and workspace
from MapInfo Pro 5.5 and earlier, will be available a short time
after MapInfo Pro 5.5 ships on June 7. It also will be available
for FREE download.
- Physical copies (CD, pamphlet, and attractive packaging) are
available from MapInfo Corp. in Troy, NY for $10 plus shipping
and handling.
- ProViewer is localizable, and partners are welcome to localize it.
- ProViewer may be freely distributed by users and partners so long
as they comply with this section of the license agreement:
1.2 You may make and distribute unlimited copies of the
Software, including copies for commercial distribution, as
long as each copy that you make and distribute contains this
Agreement, the MapInfo ProViewer installer, and the same
copyright and other proprietary notices that appear in and
pertain to the Software. If you download the Software from
the internet or similar on-line source, you must include the
MapInfo copyright notice for the Software with any on-line
distribution and on any media you distribute that includes
the Software.
